Steps to enter the league:

  1. Assemble six players and designate a captain.
  2. Come up with team name, creativity is encouraged, but the name must be able to be spoken out loud without causing irreparable emotional scarring to the 10 and under athletes that may be sharing the pool deck with us.   \
  3. Have the captain contact either Tom, tom.andrew@austin.utexas.edu for Men’s division or Becca, beccaelewis@gmail.com for Women’s division with team name and roster for entry into the league.
  4. Currently, all info regarding league days; schedule, standings, recaps, will be sent to captains who can then share it with their team. If an overwhelming demand arises, an email list or facebook group may be established to better chronicle league developments.
  5. Bring entry fee to first day of competition, September 21st.
  6. Athletes that do not have a full team, or wish to enter individually, will be put into a free agent pool in order to create as many teams as possible.

One last note, our league days will start right after the conclusion of a similar league designed for youth, high school age and younger, kids interested in the sport that will play noon to 2pm. Those of you with kids or that know about some potential future Tony Avocados in the area are encouraged to contact your local youth coach for entry into the league. Check out either Centex , Longhorn Aquatics or Austin Water Polo for more info on youth polo in the area.

Please feel free to forward this info on to anybody that you think might be interested in competing with us this fall; our biggest goal for this league is to grow the visibility and interest in the sport in the central Texas area. Hopefully you are as excited about this opportunity as we are, and we looking forward to seeing you all out on the first game day September 21st!

Thanks,
Tom and Becca
